Recycled Spinning Tops

As part of Precious Plastic Shanghai, a nonprofit organization creating awareness about plastic waste in China, I designed a spinning top toy made of recycled plastic. Through events and live demonstrations, we showcased to kids and their parents how plastic bottle caps can have a second life. In a second iteration, I designed a transparent mold that lets participants see how the melted plastic flows into the cavity to create colorful spinning tops.
